David Hoffman, longtime CIJS supporter and former trumpeter for Ray Charles, will be performing with and directing the Heartland Jazz Orchestra (HJO) for our July concert. HJO is dedicated to preserving and furthering the cause of America’s classical music, jazz. They’ll perform an assortment of original material and big band standards. The ever-popular CIJS House Band under the leadership of Larry Harms kicks off the evening, featuring outstanding jazz musicians from the area. They present a variety of jazz standards and other popular arrangements. Always a delight!
